The Polished Speaker Podcast

I've started a new podcast with my partner, Michele Marshall. We've been coaching people to improve their communication skills and help them to find their voice. It's called the Polished Speaker Podcast, and we're debuting our channel today at 5:00 pm. Our goal is to cover different aspects of public speaking that include breathing properly to project your voice and give it resonance. In addition, we deliver expert tips to help reduce the stress and anxiety that come with public speaking.

We start off each podcast with a breathing technique that will give you a moment to relax and be present. You may be surprised by how refreshing it is to take a few deep breaths and remove tension from your neck and shoulders. We'll then dive into a component of speaking that will help you better your communication skills.

Our first episode is about dealing with interruptions when you have the floor. It's one of the most common concerns our clients have. How can you keep the audience engaged and handle the person who wants to jump in with their opinion? We have some advice on how to maintain command of the room. These tools are fantastic to have in your back pocket to pull out anytime you need to make an impactful and memorable impression.

We customize our approach for each client, so if you have a specific issue, you would like us to address, please leave us a comment. We will do our best to help you be a confident, polished speaker.
